Pages of History, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization with the mission to create and produce presentations of original plays that promote the study of history, current events and social topics of contemporary interest, with a particular interest in presenting these programs to schools and young audiences.
Pages of History is an affordable performance and workshop program that brings professional actors and playwrights into schools to show students and teachers how they can enhance their curriculum by creating and performing one-act plays.
The Pages of History program is designed to:
— provide multi-cultural perspectives on American culture
— promote cross-curriculum integration
— deliver a positive, student-participatory arts education experience
Pages of History does more than give vibrant life to textbook history vignettes — it hones vital speaking, research, problem-solving and collaboration skills while encouraging students to take an active role in their own learning.
